Transcription from Digital Video formats. We can transcribe from the following Digital Video formats.
The above formats must be in a compressed and reduced format. We can not transcribe from your uncompressed digital video files. We do not accept hard drives with footage. Preferred Video Specifications:Our preferred specifications for digital video are as follows. H.264 mpeg-4 video with these specifications:
Our upload application will restrict your file size to no more than 400 MB per file. Using the above specifications, 60-minutes of Video should be about 160 MB. H.264 is the most up to date format for compressing video to small files sizes suitable for uploading directly to our server. We provide a tutorial for exporting directly from Final Cut Pro. You may be able to apply parts of the tutorial to your own system such as Avid or Premiere, so it's worth a look if you're not sure how to do it. If your digital video is already recorded and not at our exact specifications, don't worry, we can probably handle it anyway. Give us a call. Please name your file in some unique way but with a name not longer than 25 characters. For example: Tape_1.mp4, Tape_2.mp4 or john_doe.mov, etc. Once you have your files, you have two options for uploading them to us:
To begin either process you must first sign up for an account. After you receive you login and password, select "Upload Files" in the client area. With Easy Upload, you can upload right away. If you want to use FTP there's a secondary signup in the client area to facilitate that. Long File SurchargeThis applies only to any individual digital video file submitted for transcription. It does not apply to the cumulative length of all your digital files. Any single tape or file submitted that is longer than 2 hours will be billed $15.00 for each 1/2 hour beyond the initial 2 hours. To avoid this surcharge, record your audio or split it into smaller pieces. For example, send three 60-minute pieces of audio instead of one 180-minute piece of audio. Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you'll start having positive results. | |
